High above the Metnitz valley stands Schloss Grades, an imposing monument with almost a thousand years of history. Once the seat of the bishops of Gurk and the setting for significant historical events, today it is a private home as well as a living venue for events, guided tours and cultural experiences. The painstaking restoration has given the castle back its original splendour and lets past and present merge in a unique way.
