Troyerstein château (Trojerov), situated in the centre of the village of Rychtářova (a part of the town of Vyškov), was created as a base for participants in hunting within the episcopal forests of the Vyškov estate, belonging to the Bishops of Olomouc. At the wish of Bishop Ferdinand Julius Troyer of Troyerstein (in office 1745–1758), three buildings were originally constructed for this purpose to plans by the builder Josef Cyrani of Bolleshaus, though two have already been demolished (Ferdinandsko and Juliusburg). Troyerstein was built in the first half of the 1750s as a rectangular building with two carriage entrances and a private chapel, its main façade facing the forest. It served its original purpose only during the 18th century. Around 1815 it was converted to its present form, as it acquired new use — it became the residence and office of the archdiocesan head forester. This changed only after 1948, when the nationalised château found itself on the edge of a newly created military training area, and a forest management office of Military Forests and Estates moved in. From the 1990s it served as a dwelling for several families; in 2018 it was purchased by Jiří and Alena Skulínkovi — the joint-stock company PROVEX NOVA — who began a comprehensive restoration.
