Clifden's oldest surviving house, built in 1820 as the Harbour Master's residence and later serving in turn as a Franciscan monastery and a convent. The townhouse stands on the edge of Clifden Harbour in Connemara, most of its rooms overlooking the water, and retains period furnishings, antiques and original paintings.
