Above the Olšinka valley near Kroměříž lies Zdislavice château, which together with the adjacent village and the nearby Troubky forms the municipality of Troubky-Zdislavice. Zdislavice entered written history in 1349, and in the late 14th century a manor is recorded here too, owned at various times by the Zástřizl family and the Kokorský of Kokor family, among others. The conversion of the dilapidated medieval manor into a simple Baroque château of rectangular ground plan is attributed to the Otisk of Kopenice family. A further owner, Antonín Valentin Kaschnitz of Weinberg, at the end of the 18th century undertook a late Baroque remodelling of the château with the addition of the right wing and the laying out of a Romantic park. The conversion of the Baroque château into one of the most charming Classicist structures in Moravia can be associated with the Dubský of Třebomyslice family, who before 1827 also laid out a new landscape park with a family mausoleum (where the writer Maria von Ebner-Eschenbach is also buried). From the Dubskýs, Zdislavice was purchased in 1932 by the director of the Baťa Works in Zlín, Josef Hlavnička. After 1948 the Zdislavice château was nationalised and served as an institution for the mentally disabled, which was closed in 2000. The empty building began to deteriorate rapidly, but in July 2016 it was purchased by the company Chapel Invest, which completed a comprehensive restoration in 2024.
