The Palupín farmstead lies 17 km west of Telč in the village of the same name. It entered the world of written sources in 1350. At that time it was evidently an extensive farm, the central buildings of which are still recalled by the original windows and a large bricked-up portal. During the Thirty Years' War the farm was probably severely damaged, because around 1730 the old buildings were replaced by a new farm concept. The original residential buildings, after adaptation, served as agricultural premises; a small structure was adapted into a Baroque small chateau, which has largely survived to the present day. Palupín was owned, with the exception of a brief interval between 1801 and 1803, by the local nobility. The Blankenstein counts joined it to the neighbouring Batelov estate; in the second half of the 19th century Palupín was acquired by Arnold Schulz and his son Ernst. In 1948 the farm complex was expropriated; the descendants had it returned after 1989 in a devastated state. The current owner is Johanna Victoria Karen.
