A glebe-house constructed in 1819 by the Reverend Frederick Fitzpatrick, financed through a gift and loan from the Board of First Fruits. The property encompasses eight acres of mature gardens descending toward the north-eastern shores of Lough Sillan in County Cavan. An early-2000s restoration by a garden designer and botanist incorporated mature trees from the original planting scheme, creating meandering pathways through diverse plantings of rare and unusual species, ornamental groves, a bog garden and lakeside vistas. Three cottages on the grounds have been rescued and renovated. An 1891 poem celebrated its tidy mansion and gay demesne as the grandest place in Old Grannuail. Available as a film location; operates holiday cottages and offers country sports activities.
